Six miners trapped in Kenya after quarry collapses

Rescue workers are battling to forgive six miners trapped underground after a quarry collapsed yesterday in Kenya's western Nyatike district.

According to local Daily Nation newspaper the rescue workers lack equipment to release the six trapped miners.

A seventh miner was pulled out, and was curt to hospital for treatment as oppressive rains may have contributed to the collapse of the quarry.  "The miners continued in force even gone it was heavily raining outside, they were not familiar," an qualified is quoted motto.
